From the beginning:

From day one, we planned to open a café with a difference to Scotland & Aviemore. Our main ambition being to give our customers a cafe that was friendly, casual, professional & enjoyable to all was of the highest priority.
We especially wanted to give the locals, families & outdoor enthusiasts somewhere to come & relax, giving them a place where they could get great food at affordable prices and receive world class service.

Come & relax:

The café is set in the main street of Aviemore and we are fortunate enough to have fantastic views of the Cairngorm mountain range. In the summer we offer balcony dining with flowers and rustic outdoor furniture and in the winter we offer a roaring fire with cosy surroundings and comfy couches. We offer a huge selection of books for people to read and daily newspapers as well as magazines.

Our café family:

Our staff members are from all corners of the world from local lassies and lads to Kiwis, Aussies, South Africans, English folk to Canadians. We love this as it keeps ideas fresh & gives us the chance to constantly try new styles of service.

Our products & produce:

We chose to go for fair-trade & organic products wherever possible such as coffees, teas, chocolate, sugar and bananas.
We always buy from local suppliers making full use of Scotland’s meat, seafood, poultry, fruits, vegetables & dairy products. We believe that supporting locally is the way forward for everyone!

Can’t have this can’t have that!

After dining out with friends with food intolerances, we realised that there was a gap in the market that we could & had to fill. We cater for all intolerances and also for vegetarians and Vegan diets. Not only on our menu do we offer dairy & wheat free options but also we produce a wide range of cakes and bakery products.
Realising that young families cannot afford to pay enormous amounts for food that is healthy we have created a varied children’s menu that is not only healthy but affordable to all.

Our green machine:

As a café we realise the amount of waste we produce is vast and we want to have as little impact on the environment as possible, so we full heartedly recycle everything that we can, recycling of glass, tin, aluminium, paper and cardboard, reducing our landfill refuse collection by ridiculous amounts.

We believe that:

• Good quality, local produce makes the best meals
• Food should be correctly priced so that it is available to all, not just tourists
• That healthy doesn’t mean boring
• That kids should be offered a varied & tasty menu, not just burgers & chips
• That friendly service & a great atmosphere makes a meal even better
• That there is an art to making a decent cup of coffee
